Art & Music Enrichment
The importance of music in education highlights a string of vital benefits children get from receiving musical instruction from an early age.
Music is arguably one of the most life-enriching academic subjects of them all. A universal language that triggers emotional responses and kickstarts creativity like no other. Music & and art are fundamental pillars of education.

Welcome to the New School Year in Music at Seton Catholic School
Dear Families,
Welcome to a new school year filled with the joy of music! I am thrilled to be teaching your children this school year, where they will embark on a creative journey filled with rhythm, melody, and discovery. The music classes are designed to inspire students of all ages to explore their musical talents, learn new skills, and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.
What to Expect in Our Music Classes:
-
Engaging Lessons: Each week, students will experience a variety of fun and interactive music lessons that include singing, playing instruments, movement, and music games.
-
Musical Exploration: From classical to contemporary, the classes will introduce students to diverse musical styles and traditions, helping them to develop a broad understanding of music.
-
Performances and Events: Throughout the year, students will have opportunities to showcase their talents in performances and special events. These moments provide a wonderful way for families to celebrate their children's progress and achievements.
-
Instrument Learning: Depending on the grade level, students will have opportunities to learn different instruments, such as recorders, ukuleles, and our new Modern band program for the Middle school grades.
Ways to Support Your Child’s Musical Journey:
-
Encourage your child to share what they have learned in music class each week.
-
Practice with your child if they are learning an instrument, even if it’s just for a few minutes each day.
-
Attend our performances and events to show your support!
Instrumental Music Night
This is for students and families in grades 4-7. A representative from Brighton Music will be presenting in September their rental plans for band and orchestra instruments. This will be a great opportunity to ask questions and place your rental order.
