March 1, 2019
Dear Seton Families,
Recently, I was presented with information concerning a trend on social media called the “Momo Challenge.” While I cannot with 100 % certainty tell you whether this is a hoax or a legitimate concern, it has gained national attention from a variety of credible news outlets. Whether this is a hoax or not, we can use it as a teachable moment. As parents, we must be vigilant in monitoring our children’s online activities. This includes talking with your children about acceptable and unacceptable online behavior, as well as what to do if they come across something that makes them feel uncomfortable. Please use this as an opportunity to talk with your child about potential online dangers. Please see the attached document, What Parents Need to know about Momo.
Family Game Night is tonight, March 1, 6:00-9:00 in the Seton Cafeteria! Bring a snack to share, and PTO will provide water and lemonade. Children must be accompanied by an adult. There is no cost to attend, and no RSVP is necessary. Questions? Contact Diane Hamilton at firstname.lastname@example.org.
