January 18, 2019
Dear Seton Families,
Ready or not… here it comes…SNOW!
There will be no school on Monday, January 21, 2019 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Seton Catholic School follows the calendar of Crawford Central School District; therefore, in cases of inclement weather, we will follow the decisions made by the Crawford Central School District’s superintendent. If Crawford Central is closed or on a delay, then Seton Catholic School will also be closed or on a delay. If we delay or close, you will receive a phone call or text via School Messenger. You can also find the information posted on our school Facebook page and broadcasted through local media.
Bishop’s Tuition Assistance and STAR Foundation applications are now available in the office. The application is also located on the Diocesan website. As in the past, the due date is March 1st for the Erie Catholic high schools and April 15th for all elementary and regional schools. Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the office. Diocesan website: http://www.eriercd.org/tuition.htm
Sergeant Vince Trenga, School Safety & Public Relations Officer from the Meadville City Police Department, will conduct A.L.I.C.E. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) training with our students during their scheduled health classes next week for grades 5-8. The program has been specifically designed for the middle school-aged students. All middle school students who attend Crawford Central School District will have the exact training from Sergeant Trenga. Feel free to call me with any questions or contact Sergeant Vince Trenga directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or 814-333-3303. As a parent, I understand this is a difficult reality to face. But just as we practice fire and tornado drills, we need practice if an unsafe situation occurs. The goal is to enable students to do the safest things possible if a situation occurs. Please continue to pray for the safety of all students and schools throughout our country.
God Bless and have a wonderful weekend,
