Investing in Seton

There are a number of ways that you can give to Seton Catholic School including our Annual Fund.

We do understand the sacrifices you already make in your everyday lives. Just a small contribution will go a long way and we view it as a gift to our school. Your gift, however big or small, will broaden the horizon for our future.

Seton Legacy Fund (Annual Fund)

 “Enrichment for Tomorrow and Beyond”

Your gift enriches the educational experience for students attending Seton Catholic School as well as helping to maintain a choice in education that has served our area for over 30 years. Let’s work together to enhance spiritual and academic excellence for our children at Seton Catholic School! Thank you! Your gift is 100% tax deductible!

Why have the Annual Fund?

To help our students succeed! Funding from tuition, as well as parish subsidies, only partly bridges the gap between tuition and actual cost per student. The Annual Fund will offset costs associated with meeting the spiritual and academic needs of the children enrolled in Seton catholic school.

What is the target for the Annual Fund?

The target is to help sustain Catholic education and make it affordable for all families. It also helps assist with day to day operations of the school by enhancing spiritual and academic educational opportunities.

How does Seton Catholic School carry out our objectives?

We work hard to incorporate Christian values with high academic standards. Through devotion we maintain full accreditation by the Middle States Association. We have a dedicated staff of Pennsylvania Department of Education certified teachers.

What is the purpose of our school?

To provide a Catholic faith-based education integrating Christ’s teaching in the spiritual, intellectual and physical development of our students. Our staff strives to provide high quality education by promoting academic excellence in a safe, secure, positive learning environment that is both supportive and nurturing.

Checks may be made payable to Seton Legacy Fund.

Memorial Gifts

A gift in memory of someone you love or admire can be a particularly meaningful way to contribute to Seton Catholic School. A memorial gift may be made to the Annual Fund or as a capital gift and may be restricted or unrestricted.

Gifts in Kind

Non-cash gifts of property such as computers, books, scientific equipment, art materials, etc. also make important gifts. The fair market value of such items is deductible for income tax purposes. A formal appraisal is required by the IRS for gifts in kind valued at over $5,000.00.

Planned giving:

A planned gift is one way to strategize for the future, manage your affairs, and make a gift to Seton Catholic School. It usually requires more thought and foresight than the average donation. Listed on this page are the most common types of planned gifts. Please contact your advisors for help on any of them.

Will

The purpose of having a will is to distribute your property to whoever you wish at the time of your death. It is the legal way to provide for your heirs, and the causes and organizations that you care about.

The importance of having a will cannot be overstated. Seven out of every ten Americans die without a will, which means that the state will determine the distribution of those assets.

A bequest is a simple directive that is included or added to your will. You can include Seton Catholic School in your will either by using a fractional share (% of the estate, or % of the remainder of the estate) or a certain sum ($ amount specified).

Remembering Seton Catholic School in your will is a special and effective way of ensuring that the mission of the school will continue for future generations to come.

Charitable Remainder Trust

Provides income for yourself while making a gift to Seton. You establish the trust during your lifetime, receive a charitable tax deduction, and the remaining amount goes to Seton at the time of your death.

Life Insurance

A low cost method of providing for Seton’s future. A life insurance policy which names Seton Catholic School as the beneficiary can have a major impact.

Personal Property

Gifts of valuable artwork, furniture, jewelry, antiques, rare books and manuscripts can increase the school’s educational resources in many ways.

Real Estate

You can offer real estate as an immediate gift or to fund a trust. You can decide to remain in your home after making your gift, thereby gaining a tax deduction and eliminating local taxes while still enjoying the comforts of home.
